The billionaire recently changed his name to Mr. Tweet and tweeted that Twitter does not allow you to change your namewhich means it could stick with that name, at least for a while.

Why can’t Mr. Tweet be Elon Musk again?
If Mr. Tweet can’t go back to being called Elon Musk it’s probably due to a rule change. Perhaps now users who were verified under the platform’s legacy policy will not be able to change their display names in the app.
The rule was intended to prevent spoofing after the implementation of Twitter’s paid verification was followed by the spoofing of various brands and public figures. But people on the platform wondered why he did that.
According to a Business Insider report, Musk updated his name following a reference used by a lawyer during a trial over the billionaire’s 2018 tweets about financing Tesla. Nicholas Porritt, a lawyer representing a group of shareholders who are suing Musk over his 2018 tweets, accidentally called Musk “Mr Tweet” during the trial earlier this week.
While the lawyer called his mistake a “Freudian slip,” Elon Musk joked that it was “probably an accurate description.”
