Know then that it is already possible to start downloading all the update files, so as to start playing immediately at the end of tomorrow night’s maintenance. iPhones, iPads and Androids
To start the preload on the mobile version of Genshin Impact it is necessary to start the game and go to the settings menu, which can be reached by first clicking on the head-shaped icon in the upper left corner and then selecting the a gear shape. Now select the item Resourceslook for ‘Preinstall resource pack’ and click on ‘Pre-install now’. You will thus be returned to the main screen, where the package containing all the files for the next update will be downloaded. The PC version is preloaded via the client. Once the Genshin Impact executable has started, you will not have to start the game from the client, but you will need to select theyellow speech bubble icon with the inscription ‘Pre-install the game’: this will start the download of the packages, which will then be installed automatically at the first start after the publication of update 3.4.
For the uninitiated, there is no way to pre-download the next update files to Sony consoles. This means that PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players will be able to start downloading the update at the exact moment of its release, which should be set at 5:00 in the morning on Wednesday 18 January 2023.
