The creator of Boxabl, Paolo Tiramani, told Insider that the business idea of the houses is that people can buy them as if they were any product in a store. The houses, which are also foldable, can reduce their size to two metersto then be transported in a truck.
Tiramani explained to the outlet that the houses can also be shipped abroad. Of course, the buyer must take into account that the price of shipping is additional.
Houses can be connected to each other to create larger properties. They are delivered with all services and pipes ready and it takes an hour to assemble after it reaches the destination. They are made with steel, concrete and laminated panels, in addition, they can withstand hurricanes, floods, snow and mold.
“Demand for housing is incredibly massive, there are shortages everywhere, and no one can build fast enough,” Tiramani said. “It’s great for us to know that so many people are interested in this product.”
