Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said he does not agree with the negative approach other leaders are showing towards his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, according to Turkish television stations.

“Leaders and prime ministers have negative attitudes towards Putin,” he allegedly said.

“Of course, we do not carry or reflect this attitude. I also don’t find these approaches right because Russia is not an ordinary country,” he added.

Moreover, Erdogan praised Moscow’s place as a world leader in grain production.

“In terms of grain production, Russia is the top, and you can’t help but consider such a country,” he said.

NATO member Turkey has tried to maintain good relations with both Moscow and Kiev since Russia invaded Ukraine last year, and Erdogan enjoys a close personal relationship with Vladimir Putin, according to Sky News.
