Four Algerian internationals played the return matches of the quarter-finals of the Europa League Conference last night. If Said Benrahma qualified with West Ham, Hicham Boudaoui and Bilal Brahimi as well as Islam Slimani were eliminated, respectively with OGC Nice and Anderlecht.

The good news is Said Benrahma’s qualification with West Ham for the semi-final. Indeed, the Hammers largely won against the Belgian representative Gantoise, with a final score of four goals to one. The Greens striker was lined up among the starting lineup, but failed to score. He gave up his place in the second half.
West Ham will meet AZ Alkmaar in the semi-final of the European test. The first leg will be played on May 11, while the second leg will take place on May 18.

Great disappointment for Boudaoui, Brahimi and Slimani
Hicham Boudaoui and Bilal Brahimi had a nightmarish evening yesterday. Despite a good operation in the first leg against FC Basel (2-2), they could not finish the job in the return leg at home. Indeed, they lost on the score of two goals to one, in a cruel scenario.
Boudaoui was lined up among the starting XI. He gave a very good performance, before giving up his place in the second half. As for Brahimi, he was incorporated during the second period of the match. He almost changed the debates of the match, with a magnificent direct free kick which touched the crossbar.
The other disappointment in the Europa League Conference is Islam Slimani with Anderlecht against AZ Alkmaar. Having taken an option in the first leg (2-0), the Violets could not preserve their advantage in the score in the second leg. The two opponents went to the goal sorting session to decide. Luck smiled on the Dutch (4-1).
Renewed among the starting lineup, the top scorer in the history of the Greens remained silent. He was substituted in the second half.
