Evaluna reveals that she did not have a medical check-up during pregnancy

MIAMI.- Singer Evaluna Montaner was involved in a controversy after revealing that she did not follow a medical check-up during the pregnancy of her daughter Índigo. The Venezuelan artist, wife of the Colombian singer Camilo, made this confession on the podcast Thinking about it, we thought wrong.

“I didn’t have a gynecologist. Nobody gave me ultrasounds, sonograms, or anything like that. (…) The whole pregnancy was completely an act of faith; everything was with a midwife with whom I listened to her heart through a stethoscope, but I never saw how it was going and I didn’t even know if it was going to be a boy or a girl,” said the daughter of singer Ricardo Montaner.

There were no surprises regarding the sex of the baby, since both she and Camilo had stated that they wanted to know him during the birth, which is why they chose a unisex name.

Disagreement on social networks

However, the actress also pointed out that her fear was never not having a medical check-up as usual, but rather recognizing that her life would change, assuming a new responsibility and giving her daughter a good education and upbringing.

“There are constant fears, mine was the biggest: ‘I’m going to be a mother, how am I going to raise her from scratch?’ I was obviously afraid,” she commented.

Evaluna’s statements sparked a new controversy, as her followers clashed on social networks where there were conflicting opinions regarding the husbands’ decision on how they should have undertaken this process. Some Internet users consider that it was a risky act, while others celebrate a natural way of assuming motherhood.

Regarding their daughter, Camilo and Evaluna have previously been involved in some controversies.

Recently, the couple came under fire for exclusive breastfeeding. However, neither of them have commented on the matter.
