This is one of the revelations of It’s up to you ! For three seasons, Bertrand Chameroy has been at the table of the famous talk show presented by Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine on France 5. From Monday to Friday, he offers a humorous column called L’ABC by Bertrand Chameroy and in which he deciphers the events that make the news in an offbeat way. RTL listeners also find him every week in the morning show of Yves Calvi and Amandine Bégot. For Tele-Leisurethe 34-year-old columnist notably agreed to say a little more about his desires on television.

“I have two hours to write my texts”

Tele-Leisure : How is your third season going in It’s up to you ?

Bertrand Chameroy: Before the start of the school year, I was afraid of not knowing how to renew myself. Finally, we took the fold rather quickly. We shoot more sketches with the team. Everyone lends itself to my pranks, which appeals to viewers because we have good feedback.

What are your days like?

There are three of us looking for news images to illustrate my column. This lasts until early afternoon. Then, we edit the sequences until 6:30 p.m. Then I have two hours left to write the texts. I have carte blanche and I appreciate this freedom. The band discovers my column on the air so that their reactions are spontaneous.

Last December, you animated The Year of Bertrand Chameroyyour first program on France 5. Want to try the experience again?

Currently, it is complicated in terms of schedule. But if one day a coherent project amuses me, and if the channel is up for it, that would be with pleasure. I would like to present a program that mixes humor, music and posed interviews. A talk show like It’s up to you in short, but I’m already a columnist there. (laughs)

“At the beginning, I was not very comfortable”

Since September, you have also had a mood ticket on Monday mornings on RTL. What is your mid-season assessment? ?

It’s not easy to join a team by only being present once a week, but Yves Calvi and Amandine Bégot gave me a royal welcome. Columnist Philippe Caverivière arrives earlier to attend my column and support me. At first, I was not very comfortable but I finally found my rhythm. I had very good feedback, I’m delighted.

You sometimes make fun of personalities in your columns. Have you ever received disgruntled calls?

Never ! Even when I tackled the CNews show dedicated to the demon [En quête d’esprit, en octobre dernier, NDLR], Pascal Praud said on air that he laughed. Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine often shows me text messages from guests who like my columns. It is possible to laugh at everything, you just have to do it intelligently. I refuse to be mean or vulgar in my texts and it must be felt.

Do you have other upcoming projects in 2023?

I do have projects for television this year but it’s still too early to talk about them. All I can tell you is that in addition to RTL and It’s up to youyou should soon see me somewhere else…
