For his first Masters, he faces the greatest experts in French song like Renaud, winner of the 2022 Masters. But the number 9 in the game finally lost this Friday, September 22 to the knowledge of the reigning champion. He confides about his journey to Tele-Leisure.

Télé-Loisirs: These are your first Masters. What does it feel like to join this competition?

Louis: It’s a bit strange, because it’s something I watched every year on TV and I’m happy to find myself in this situation and I also want to prove that I have the level. In any case, super happy to have been able to participate.

Did you particularly revise for these Masters?

I resumed a little bit after the tournament which took place in April and what’s good is that I was still a little bit in the continuity of my year, of my journey. So I was already quite ready. But yes, I did quite a bit of revision, with other maestros and I think I arrived quite prepared. In any case, as much as I could this year. I really revised a lot. More like several hours a day honestly in recent months.

How was your return to the set?

Overall good, it’s nice to come back. It’s clear that this is something that is missing quite quickly. We’ll tell you when you get used to it. It’s always a pleasure to be there and I was happy to see that I managed (to impose myself Editor’s note), even after a few months without being there; It didn’t work too badly.

You succeeded in your first match against Lucile, did that reassure you for the future?

I was obviously very happy, so that was positive. Afterwards, I saw the picture a little bit, I saw the people I was going to face if I continued to win in the 8th, in the quarter, in the semi. I knew it was going to be very difficult to go much further because I felt like I had a lot of very strong people to face if this continued.

You faced Renaud in the round of 16. How did the match go?

This match, I had the impression that there was some kind of force above telling me that nothing was going to happen the way I wanted. That is to say that overall, Renaud is very strong and therefore in advance, I was very wary of him. I knew it was last year’s winner. And afterwards, as the match progressed, I had the impression that all the choices I made – which I think were not necessarily bad, where I tried to be quite strategic – were unfortunately turned in the wrong direction. I really feel like I only made the wrong decisions on stage and unfortunately, it was attempts at strategy that didn’t pay off.

Finally, are you satisfied with your journey or rather disappointed?

I think a bit of both. I always want to go further. Obviously at the beginning, I told myself that I was satisfied, and then you do the match again. And then obviously, we want to continue playing. I’m very satisfied with what I showed this year, but there is still a little hint of disappointment too, even if it’s obviously not serious.

How does it go your career on Twitch ? Has the show allowed you to attract a new audience?

A little bit despite everything. I think what was nice was also the recognition from the streamers. A lot of people talked about it, even the most well-known on the platform, so it was followed by pretty much everyone. It brought in a few people, afterward, it’s not quite the same audience between the show and Twitch, but it’s working pretty well at the moment, I’m pretty happy.

Do you have any new projects for the coming months?

Not particularly, I will continue like this. I think I’ll be doing quite a bit of work on the show this year too. I would like to shine a little more next year in the Masters. I’m going to try to be more regular and have more songs, more Unloved. Progress a little throughout the year so as not to do things at the last moment.
