Several people alerted the police after hearing a loud bang in central Norrköping just before three o’clock last night. On the spot, the police found that something had exploded at an entrance.
– Since there was another object at the site, they decided to set up cordons. The national bomb shelter is now ready at the site and the cordons have been reduced to the actual explosion site, which forensic technicians will investigate, says Monica Bergström, the police’s spokesperson.
No information on injured persons
The police have no information that anyone has been injured in the explosion.
People who have seen or heard something that may be related to the explosion are asked to inform the police on telephone number 114 14. The police have started a preliminary investigation regarding public destruction.
