DAfter launching its paid verification system in the US, Australia and New Zealand, Meta has announced that it will extend this program to the UK, says the Engadget website.

It is worth remembering that this verification system asks users to pay to have the blue verified seal on Facebook and Instagram. The system is similar to what we see today with the Blue subscription on Twitter but, in the case of Facebook and Instagram, users must present an identification document.

This system is still in the testing phase, so it should eventually reach more and more countries and markets where Meta is present.
