• ChatGPT courses exist for those new to artificial intelligence
  • And it’s a booming business
  • A trainer says for example that he has already earned more than 50,000 dollars on Udemy (online course platform)
  • Soon, knowing how to use ChatGPT will be as essential as knowing how to use Word or Excel

While the digital giants are engaged in a race for artificial intelligence, the ChatGPT training business is growing. As soon as the OpenAI chatbot arrived, many people took advantage of this new tool to write articles, seek legal advice, or even improve their profiles on Tinder. But not everyone is familiar with ChatGPT. And as a result, some need training to know how to use this tool which, later, could become essential.

In a recent article, Business Insider cites the example of a few trainers who have already made ChatGPT lessons a profitable business. Lance Junck, for example, realized the potential of this artificial intelligence when he started using it in his work for an e-commerce company. He then launched a training course called “ChatGPT Masterclass: A Complete ChatGPT Guide for Beginners”.

A training that brings in more than 50,000 dollars

Since then, 23,000 people have signed up for the training, earning Junck $52,000. And it continues to grow, with 200 to 250 new people signing up every day. The training is currently $13.99 (thanks to a discount) and includes 7 hours of video, plus an article.

Another person contacted by Business Insider said he was able to earn $10,000, thanks to a course in which 3,500 people registered. And these are far from isolated cases. Business Insider also reached out to a representative from online course platform Udemy, who said it currently has 429 courses on ChatGPT, with 417,000 signups. And compared to April, this number of registrations is up 47%.

On the web and on platforms such as YouTube, we also see more and more articles or video content appearing explaining how to improve your requests on ChatGPT. And it should be expected that training on how to use Bard, Google’s AI, will also appear when it becomes available.

Soon, an essential skill?

Today, if you are familiar with ChatGPT or generative AI in general, you may be qualified to become a speedy engineer. In essence, this is someone who is proficient in communicating with generative AIs, and who knows how to use chatbots like ChatGPT to get the best possible results. A developer degree is not required. And the salaries can be very high, as it is currently an in-demand skill. According to a Bloomberg article, companies are willing to pay more than 300,000 euros per year.

Otherwise, even if you do not become a prompt engineer, knowing how to use ChatGPT remains an asset. In a previous article, we relayed a study carried out by the Resume Builder site which suggests that more than 90% of business leaders today consider that mastering chatbots like ChatGPT is a plus for job candidates. . In essence, mastering ChatGPT and similar AIs could become as essential as knowing how to use Word or Excel.

In addition, the trainers interviewed by Business Insider explain that it is not enough to know that ChatGPT exists, or to know how it works. Indeed, there are ways that one must know to produce better results with the chatbot. These trainers, however, do not consider themselves experts. And they haven’t trained themselves to become a ChatGPT trainer. They learned everything on their own.
