In an Episcopal church in Pasadena, a resource fair is held for the homeless community that includes all kinds of help, information, and even hygiene products are offered.

At All Saints Church they can help someone unconscious and they can also save a person from living in destitution.

“We work in the Housing Department and help from homeless to transitional to permanent,” said Irene Ramírez, of the Foothills AIDS Project.

They offer health information, accommodation, legal services, hygiene products, and coffee for those most in need. The fair is open from 9 am to 1 pm

“We go to all the areas where they stay, and we tell them about the event to come, what we’re offering and if they need to shower or eat,” said Debbie Mota, who is in charge of coordinating Union Station Homeless Services.

The fair also features portable showers and music to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Union Station Homeless Services.

“Many clients that we help with mental health issues along with other agencies we work to help them,” Ramirez said. “The organizers say that they prefer to do this type of event because here people can find all the resources in one place, instead of looking for offices or phone numbers on their own. They can also learn how to save a life.”
