The businessmen who signed the agreement with the Government Fair Prices show their discomfort with the controls carried out by the truckers union requested by the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, and the Secretary of Domestic Trade, Matías Tombolini.
The private sector assures that they were called to “put their shoulders” and they did so, “even when it means loss for us.” Furthermore, they argue that they trusted the government and the answer “is distrust”, angry at the administration’s endorsement of the Teamsters Union’s initiative to go out and control compliance with the Program Prices fair.
The tension between the Government and the private sector arises at the moment in which the Ministry commanded by Sergio Massa is negotiating to agree on an extension of the Program until the end of the year.
