The personnel debates at FC Bayern Munich just don’t want to stop. According to the “Bild” newspaper, coach Thomas Tuchel is said to have identified two major problem areas in his squad.
The fact that Bayern have a striker problem is no longer a secret. The Tuchel team simply does not want to find a successor for the number nine jersey. A new Lewandowski is still not in sight. Now, however, there could also be innovations in a completely different position.

While the striker’s weakness has been publicly discussed for weeks, Tuchel also wants to sign another midfielder for the coming season.
There, the defensive midfield in particular should be strengthened with a strong player. Currently there is usually nothing to be felt in the defensive midfield. Players like Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka and Ryan Gravenberch are often too active offensively and neglect to defend. That doesn’t fit with Tuchel’s strategy for Bayern.
FC Bayern does not only have a striker problem
So it’s no wonder that FC Bayern is looking for new options for midfield. Apparently, Tuchel is also looking towards the Premiere League. Casemiro should help with Bayern’s bad squad. According to “Kicker”, the midfielder is the new name on Bayern’s list.
The 31-year-old is currently under contract with Manchester United. He can look back on a long history of success in football. Before moving to the Premiere League in 2022, he developed into one of the best midfielders in the world in Spain. He also won the Champions League five times with his then club Real Madrid. As a Brazilian national player, he has already played 70 games. Just such a player could help Bayern next summer.
Casemiro could cost Bayern a lot
The possible dream player could be quite expensive for FC Bayern. His current club ManUnited had to pay a transfer fee of 70 million euros. His annual salary there should amount to 18 million euros. If there is a change, FC Bayern could face high costs.
Even if no deal is made with Casemiro, the search for new players is in full swing. Apparently no position at Bayern is safe from change.
