Earlier in the day, the Advocate General had requested life imprisonment for Bruno Garcia, accused of having murdered his ex-companion and mother of his children in March 2019. The same sentence to which he had been convicted at first instance.
Bruno Garcia, 46, was sentenced on appeal this Friday evening to life imprisonment, with a 22-year security sentence, for the murder of Julie Douib, his ex-partner and mother of his children, in March 2019 at Île Rousse in Corsica.
This is the same sentence as in the first instance.
“The Court sentences you by a majority of at least eight votes to life imprisonment with a 22-year security sentence”, indicated the president of the Corsica-du-Sud Assize Court of Appeal. to Bruno Garcia-Cruciani.
