The Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) completed an arrest warrant against Eduardo Apodaca Magallanes, head of the department of material resources of the National Institute of Migration (INM) from the Ciudad Juárez immigration station, who is associated with the fire in which 40 migrants lost their lives.

The foregoing occurred after the same prosecutor’s office announced that a federal control judge in Ciudad Juárez granted the arrest warrants requested against Salvador “N”, Juan “N”, Cecilia “N” and Eduardo “N”. , accused of being directly linked to the conduct that led to the homicides and the injuries suffered by the victims in the fire that occurred on the night of March 27.

According to the National Registry of Detentions, agents of the Federal Ministerial Police detained the public servant at 12:50 p.m. outside the offices of the Migration Institute, located at Avenida de Las Américas 2700, Parque Chamizal neighborhood.

The arrest warrants issued against Rear Admiral Salvador González Guerrero, INM delegate in Chihuahua, as well as Juan Andrés Molina Reynoso, local deputy representative in Puente Lerdo, and Cecilia Sapién, head of the Department of Security and Custody, have yet to be executed.
