Finland’s men’s hockey suffered a clear loss against Sweden in Umeå. Tre Kronor pulled away at the end of the second period and eventually won 6–2.

The Lions are loading up for the home World Cup, which starts in a couple of weeks, and this week two matches against Sweden were on the program in Umeå. On Thursday, Finland won 2–1, but on Saturday it was a clear loss with 2–6.

The Swedish move came late in the second period when the match was 2-2. When 38.58 had been played, Dennis Rasmussen brought Tre Kronor up to a 3–2 lead and with 39.59 on the clock, Sportbekantingen Patrik Karlqvist extended it to 4–2.

With eight minutes remaining, Sweden again scored two goals in one minute: Karlqvist was responsible for the 5-2 goal and André Petersson for the 6-2 finish.
