A body has been recovered from a pond in Bottrop. As the fire brigade announced on Tuesday night, the previously unknown person was discovered on Monday evening in a pond in the Batenbrock district of Bottrop. Resuscitation measures by rescue workers were unsuccessful.
So far it is only known that it is a female body, said a police spokeswoman. Further details on the cause of death or the identity are still unclear. The investigations by the criminal police are ongoing. (dpa)
