A fire broke out Tuesday morning in a building along DC’s busy H Street corridor.
Upon arriving at the scene in the 1300 block of H Street NE, firefighters began extinguishing the fire. No injuries have been reported so far, according to authorities.
Smoke billowing from the three-story building could be seen throughout the city.
A photo posted on Twitter shows a thick black cloud, as well as bright orange flames shooting out of the building. Numerous fire trucks were parked along H Street as they responded to the fire.
The crash appeared to be across the street and around the corner from the Atlas Performing Arts Center.
It is not yet clear what caused the fire.
There was no further information immediately.
