Broward firefighters and police officers had a beautiful gesture with an eight-year-old boy whose house caught fire due to an explosion.

Rodinski Beval lost all his assets on the morning of December 19, when a gas explosion in his home in the city of West Park destroyed the home and injured him and his family members.

After almost two days in the hospital, the same firefighters who saved his life and the Broward Sheriff’s Office officers decided to organize a special day for him, so that he could somehow celebrate Christmas.

They loaded him into their truck, put a helmet on him and took him to the Fire Department headquarters, where a big surprise awaited him.

There the little boy was able to shoot some basketball hoops and they gave him several gifts, including a bicycle.

Rodinski continues to receive treatment at the Miami Burn Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, although he told Local 10 that feels good.

His mother, his teenage sister and his grandmother remain in hospital with serious burns and injuries.

The gas explosion destroyed his house and destroyed three others where six other people lived and were also left homeless.
