An explosion was reported at a fireworks warehouse in tultepecin the area known as “the willow”, according to the first reports three workshops were affected. Emergency services are on their way to the scene of the accident, without notification of any injuries.
The first images that have circulated of the incident show the great smoke screen that could be seen from several kilometers away. The place is located in Chilpancingo street, San Antonio corner, San Antonio Xahuento neighborhood, Mexico state.
The noise was heard by the inhabitants of the area, who immediately alerted the authorities to come to the scene. The flames were present in three of the workshops that are on the property.
Witnesses at the scene have mentioned that the explosion could have been caused by chemical substanceswhich is why only firefighters have been able to access “La Saucera”, fearing that the presence of police or civilians could cause a greater tragedy.
Edomex Civil Protection has reported that the explosion occurred in the module 67spreading to other modules, of which the affectations are unknown up to now.
