“NoIn a globalized world, entrepreneurship only prospers through the creation of networks, the exchange of knowledge and experiences. Nothing is done or happens outside a great team that is the globality of creative ecosystems”, said to Lusa the president of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rio de Janeiro, António Montenegro Fiúza, who organizes, on the same day, a pre-session -Web Summit to introduce the Portuguese delegation, in a session that will help Portuguese companies to do business in Brazil.

António Montenegro Fiúza believes that both Portugal and Brazil “need to invest in high value-added industries, strongly entering the world of digital economies”.

Especially because, he stressed, “in a society increasingly marked by instability and small economic cycles, security and stability comes from valuing the ability to undertake and innovate”.

“This is the mark of the new generations, the mark of creativity that combines with sustainability”, he said, adding that in an increasingly dematerialized economic environment, “services and ‘software’ are the definitive merchandise of the new times”.

Cape Verde will be another of the Portuguese-speaking countries represented with two ‘startups’, in a delegation led by the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, who will also, for the first time, be a speaker at the conference, where he will present the theme “Digital Transformation of a Nation “.

The technological event, which was born in 2010 in Ireland, started to be held in the Parque das Nações area, in Lisbon, in 2016 and will remain in the Portuguese capital until 2028.
