Every day, Pamela inspires her followers with crisp workouts and delicious nutrition tips. She rarely shares private things on Instagram. Now the influencer has chatted a bit out of the box.
Because – actually, her parents did NOT want to call her Pamela!
“If my parents had moved away from Germany, they would have called me ‘Diamond’.”
The 26-year-old now reveals this on Instagram. She is currently on holiday in Bali and is visiting “Diamond Beach”. How fitting!
In an interview with BILD, Pamela says: “Perhaps ‘Diamond’ would have seemed more normal in other countries, but for my German self I am extremely grateful that ‘Pamela’ made the race! I love that name.”
At the time, ‘Pamela Anderson’ was still the first association with her name, but “my parents were sure that it would be lost in the (Baywatch) sand by the time I grew up,” Pamela continues.
“They got the idea for ‘Pamela’ while on vacation in the Seychelles. There they made friends with the island beauty ‘Pamela’, loved the name and thought that the beauty could be a good omen,” said the 26-year-old to BILD.
Fun Fact: Pamela’s parents fathered her in a camper van at Diamond Lake, Canada.
