Florida woman is found alive in a wooded area 6 days after disappearing from a Walmart

Anu Awasthi, a Florida woman, was found alive nearly a week after she went missing from a local Walmart.

The woman was located this week in a wooded area near Tampa Road, same avenue where the Walmart where he disappeared on August 10 is located, as reported by Peopleciting a statement from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Awasthi was reported missing after her husband took her to a hairdressing appointmentreported for his part WFLA, an affiliate of the NBC network.

Nico Tusconi, who works with the nonprofit volunteer group We Are The Essentials, which helped with the search, said the temperature in the area that day felt like 111 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the outlet.

“For her to be alive in those elements, that is God sending a great prayer,” Tusconi said, according to WFLA. Awasthi was later assessed and transported to a local hospital.

It should be mentioned that the reason behind his disappearance is not clear.

Awasthi was in poor condition and “was going in and out of consciousness” when she was found, Tusconi added. Fortunately, she was able to reunite with her family shortly after being evaluated by doctors.
