Delar Alan Glover pleaded guilty to sexual offenses against minors and was sentenced to 40 years in prison by Judge Juan Magallanes on Monday, August 7, in the Cameron County 357 Judicial District Court, prosecutor Luis V. Saenz reported.

According to a statement, Glover was the athletics coordinator at the Jubilee Academy in Brownsville by day, and by night the educator became a predator who stalked the Internet and social media to contact, groom, meet, and ultimately “sexually rape.” to minors”.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Melanie Palomo, Chief of the Child Abuse Unit; district assistant attorney Victoria Aranda, with the support of legal assistant Gaby Cruz, secretary Cassandra Corona, Crime Victims Advocate Emi Ruiz, and investigator Reynaldo Pineda.

“Thank you team for ensuring justice and closure for Glover’s victims without having to relive their trauma,” the statement said.

“Parents, I urge you to monitor your children’s use of social media. Unfortunately, there are others, like Glover, who wait in the shadows to take advantage of our children through the use of the Internet, social applications, chat rooms, and other social media,” added Sáenz.
