Formula One | Max Verstappen wins his seventh consecutive race

Formula One champion Max Verstappen needed just seconds to prevail at the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday and win his seventh consecutive race.

Seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton started from pole position ahead of Verstappen, who forced him out at the first corner and did not look back.

Red Bull’s 12th consecutive win, including the 2022 final race, broke McLaren’s record for consecutive team wins set in 1988.

Verstappen is sailing towards a third straight F1 title.

His ninth overall win means the 25-year-old Dutchman already has a 110-point lead over his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez.

McLaren driver Lando Norris finished second for the second race in a row and Perez was third for a much-needed second podium finish in six races.
