A few days ago, the now ex-president of the French football federation, Noël Le Graët, made an awkward statement with regard to Zinedine Zidane. “Zidane in Brazil? I don’t care, he can go where he wants! He can go where he wants, in a club… selection, I hardly believe it as far as he is concerned. If Zidane tried to reach me? Certainly not, I would not even have taken him on the phone”. He said on RMC.
A misplaced statement, it must be said, with regard to a legend of French football. She elicited a reaction from everyone. The executive committee of the FFF, meanwhile, called an emergency meeting today.
Indeed, the COMEX has recorded the withdrawal of Noël Le Graët from his duties as president. A meeting at the end of which the latter agreed to leave the front of the stage until the publication of the audit report on January 30.
