Louise, a nurse paralyzed by a panic attack, can no longer (and no longer wants) to get out of her yellow Volvo station wagon. Paul, a little car thief, kidnaps her without wanting it. Together, they travel the road… How can we not suspect that their reciprocal hostility will turn into a love affair?
The idea is nice, but, for his first film, Didier Barcelo stretches the concept, alternating comic situations (how can Louise pee?) and stormy conflicts. Other bizarre characters are added, hot hitchhiker, little old head of mule, picturesque shrink… It’s fun, sometimes called, a little whimsical. Marina Foïs and Benjamin Voisin carry the film, and save it.
Sunday January 22 at 10:25 p.m. on Canal+. French dramatic comedy by Didier Barcelo (2022). With Marina Foïs, Benjamin Voisin, Jean-Charles Clichet. 1h29. (Multicast and On Demand).
