Characteristics
career
When nine-year-old Vladimir moved to Munich with his mother, grandmother and twin sister, they first spent a while in an asylum home. He trained off his Russian accent at the latest when he was studying acting at the Otto Falckenberg School. He worked in the New Theater in Munich.
But Vladimir Burlakov was born for television: his acclaimed debut came in the award-winning miniseries A View to Crime.
Vladimir Burlakov was praised for his portrayal of crime fiction characters. He played a minor accused of sexual abuse in “Marco W. – 247 days in Turkish prison”.
Then in 2012 he made his cinema debut: In “Siberians of all places” he shows his comedy skills in the role of an interpreter who has to convey the pedantic nature of his German client to the rather easy-going Russians.
Other crime roles followed. In 2016, long before he was promoted to crime scene inspector, Vladimir starred in the Tatort Ludwigshafen a stalker.
And then: in 2019 it was announced that in Saarbrücken a new team of investigators comes together. Burkalov plays Leo Holz, a police officer whose past keeps catching up with him.
