It has already dropped 1000 reais in the 256GB version, it promises to be the best value for money in 2023, I just analyzed Samsung’s Galaxy A54, I can say that it has evolved in relation to the Galaxy A53, mainly in performance, but even so there are some things that need be improved by Samsung, but after all, what’s wrong with the Galaxy A54?
What’s wrong with the Galaxy A54?
Reason 1: Slow to load
The first reason is the slow loading. The Galaxy A54 did very well in our battery test, certainly Android 13 with the Exynos 1380 has done a great job in saving battery life, lasting the complete cycle that we do when we analyze the battery of smartphones, but the problem was when charging. The box charger is only 15W, it takes almost 2 hours to complete the charge. If you usually charge overnight, it’s not really a problem. But, let’s say you forgot to charge it yesterday and the battery is at 20%, you have 10 minutes before you leave for an appointment, those 10 minutes will only enter 2 or 3% battery.
Reason 2: Thick edges
The second reason is the thick edges it has on the front. The screen is 6.4 inches, a size that I consider ideal for everyday use, but the smartphone itself could be more compact if Samsung optimized these edges. Years ago it was common to see cell phones with stuffed edges, but in 2023 it is no longer possible.
Reason 3: Heating
The third reason is the heat it produces when we play. If you intend to buy it to play for several hours it may be a problem. In our gaming test, the Galaxy A54 did well in terms of performance, but it couldn’t mitigate the phone’s temperature, which heated up to around 18ºC on its surface. In addition to deteriorating the battery, there were certain times when it was impractical to keep the cell phone in hand.
Reason 4: Bloatware
The fourth and final reason not to buy it is the bloatware. Those applications that are installed on the cell phone, Samsung puts in the initial config apps to install as an indication, each installation of these Samsung receives a value as an indication, so it estimates the amount of sales and deducts a little from the final value for the customer, making the product a little cheaper. In my eyes it can be benefit on one hand, the price, but on the other hand the installation of many applications that are not even used by most people is kind of annoying and strange.
Some of these reasons are real problems that Samsung will need to deal with, such as heating and also a more powerful charger.
