It’s not news that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 should bring an external screen of larger dimensions, and new images from leaker @UniverseIce show how the device should look compared to the current model. In addition, the content also reveals the possible applications of a larger display.
The panel has a format already mentioned in previous rumors, with a “dip” to house the two rear cameras. The screen shows weather forecast widgets and battery information, in addition to bringing icons for quick access to applications such as phone, messages and general settings.
The informant also revealed that the screen should bring 3.4 inches, against 1.9 inches of the current model. With an almost square aspect ratio of 1:1, it can bring a resolution of 720 x 748 pixels and a density of 305 ppi.
Galaxy Z Flip 5: what to expect?
The bigger screen shouldn’t be the only novelty of the Galaxy Z Flip 5. After all, the device is expected with improvements in aspects such as performance, cameras, construction and more.
It should bring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy as the main performance component, repeating the same platform announced with the Galaxy S23 line. Its internal storage can rely on UFS 4.0 technology, at least in models with 256 or 512 GB.
The set of cameras on the device can gain new and improved sensors, even if they keep the resolutions of 12 MP in the main and 10 MP in the ultrawide.
Another possible novelty is in its construction, which should gain a new hinge in the shape of a drop. This structure should ensure that the smartphone is a little thinner, as well as reducing the visibility of the crease on the flexible display.
A specific date for the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has not yet been announced, but previous rumors have already shown that Samsung’s foldables should arrive in July, in an advance schedule compared to previous years. Until then, more information about smartphones may appear through new leaks.
