LinkedIn Learning is an educational video platform included in LinkedIn itself. The space offers courses aimed at professional training in different areas and is part of the paid services package of the social network.

The library offers more than 16,000 courses, divided into seven languages (Portuguese is one of them). You can watch the videos on your computer and cell phone, filter by topics related to your career and receive certificates at the end of each learning journey.

How LinkedIn Learning works

Learning is linked to the LinkedIn profile itself: the video platform is free after subscribing to the Premium plan or purchasing the courses service separately. The social network analyzes the skills and qualities of the professional profile, in addition to terms related to the chosen career, to bring suggestions for courses.

The collection is very varied, with learning options for simple tasks, such as writing emails, to more complex experiences to develop new professional skills or change careers.

The page for each course shows the distribution of classes, a space for questions and answers and a notebook to take notes, in addition to saving progress to open the most recent videos on the home screen. In the service settings, it is also possible to include a goal of watched minutes per week.

The platform also has a very useful personalized learning feature: using a quick questionnaire, you can tell LinkedIn if you want to evolve in your current profession or if you are looking for a career change in the medium or long term. From that point, Learning develops a course plan adapted to each need.

How much does it cost to subscribe to the service

Access to LinkedIn Learning is part of the LinkedIn Premium membership benefit. With plans starting at BRL 67.49 per month, the service also allows discovering the people who visited the profile, highlights the curriculum in application processes and includes sending InMail to accounts outside the connection network.

There is also a plan that only offers access to the courses, without the other additional features. The Learning Premium can be purchased in the monthly plan, for BRL 69.99 per month, or in the annual version, for BRL 443.88 per year.

Every 12 months, you can request a 30-day free trial. Progress is saved in the profile even after canceling the subscription.

Is LinkedIn Learning worth it?

The teaching platform brings many advantages to Premium plan subscribers, such as the possibility of obtaining certificates and tracking progress through the social network application itself.

LinkedIn Learning is worthwhile for those who want to improve their professional knowledge due to the collection of content aimed at different areas. It also allows you to concentrate materials on an already known platform: while taking classes, you can use LinkedIn to increase connections in the area and look for vacancies.

If you don’t want to subscribe to LinkedIn’s paid service but are interested in taking online courses, you can check out other teaching apps and compare prices.
