After a tumultuous week, the trend seems to be reversed for the French coach, Christophe Galtier. Accused of racism following the disclosure of “alleged remarks” he would have made while he was the coach of OGC Nice, Galtier receives the support of several factors from the football world in France.
Players and coaches are quick to show their support for the current Paris Sait-Germain coach. Thus, among the former players who supported Galtier, those who played under his orders, we find the Algerian international, Andy Delort.
Indeed, the Algerian striker shared the photo of his former coach at OGC Nice on his Instagram story in what appears to be a message of support and solidarity with the French technician accused of racism. Delort did not accompany the photo of coach Galtier with any written message.
Giving free rein to innuendo. An opinion that the former striker of the Algerian team, Yacine Benzia, does not seem to share.
In this wake, the former LOSC player, under the orders of Galtier, wrote on his Instagram account, “When the lie takes the elevator, the truth takes the stairs, it takes longer, but it always ends. by arriving. “we read on his story. A post with the hashtag, RamadanGate. A message that is both ambiguous and mysterious, but which reveals, half-wordly, the truth of the former Greens striker.

For his part, Roland Romeyer, manager at AS Saint-Étienne, said, “Christophe never made any racist remarks in Saint-Étienne. Once there was a story with Ramadan, but it has nothing to do with discrimination. It was very, very hot. And Christophe called me to tell me that two players, Faouzi Ghoulam and Idriss Saadi, were practicing Ramadan. With the heat, he feared a heart problem. It was really a health issue. At my request, we brought in an imam from Lyon who explained to the players that they could take a break from their fast in the event of excessive physical exertion. But Christophe was really worried about the health of his players. he says.
