Juarez City.- Gas Natural del Norte (GNN), the only provider of this service in Ciudad Juárez, announced today that it will finally have an online payment service both on its website and with a digital application for mobile phones.
Facebook users who interacted with the announcement of this service did not take long to make comments such as “Wow”, “Miracle”, or “Finally”, since it was the only energy service or public service provided at home that did not have with this method of payment, despite, even, three years of the covid-19 pandemic that limited the mobility and access to buildings of people in the town at the time.
It was on the official Facebook page of the company where the launch of the payment application was announced. Said page was opened since January 6, 2022, it has only 59 “Likes” at the cut of this edition, in addition to the fact that there is no publication older than that of Friday, April 24, 2023 at 8:04 p.m. the morning, a photograph of the GNN logo.
The last time the company spoke publicly about the digital application was on February 16, 2021, when the company called a press conference after the natural gas shortage derived from a polar vortex that hit the central-southern United States. Joined.
“We are in tests. The tests have been very satisfactory and the online payment will be launched in the near future”, said Ramón Martínez, coordinator of Gas Natural, as identified in said conference.
Martínez mentioned that day that for 100 years, the company (previously called Gas Natural de Juárez) has bought 100 percent of the natural gas that reaches the town, to later supply it to businesses, dependencies and Juárez homes.
How does the app work?
It is a free application that can be downloaded to cell phones with iOS and Android operating systems, and is available on the AppStore and Google Play, respectively, and is called “Gas Natural del Norte”.
According to a video tutorial of the application, it is not necessary to create a user, but you only have to enter the number of the account that will be settled, to later enter the details of the Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card with which it will be made. The deposit.
It will be necessary to capture the card number, expiration date and security code, as well as the name, email and telephone number of the person holding the card. A message will come to the mail with the receipt of payment.
The official website of the company also indicates that online payments can be made at the link gasnn.com.mx/#/consulta-factura without having to download the mobile application.
As part of the clarifications prior to the use of the application, GNN pointed out that this service is only available to users of domestic natural gas service in Ciudad Juárez, and it can also be used by accounts with the “Alcancía” program.
