France Télévisions followed a group of passionate riders. Once on their horses, they walk on the paths of the Landes, to the pond of Cazaux and Sanguinet.
The lake of Cazaux (Gironde) and Sanguinet (Landes) is a paradise for riders. But the destination is worth it. The hike begins at Virginia Ranch. This horse lover welcomes a group of riders that day. Each one prepares his companion. For the companion, horseback riding is a kind of sixth sense. “It’s weirder to take my car than to take the horse”she says.
The promise of beautiful escapes out of time
At the end of the journey, the riders reach Lake Cazaux and Sanguinet with emotion. Then it’s the long-awaited moment, in total confidence with the horse: entering the water. “It forces you to let go. Horses are very, very sensitive animals. If you got mad, so does the horse.” indicates a rider. Between lake and forest, the season is just beginning in the mild spring, like the promise of beautiful escapes out of time.
