Google started integrating podcasts directly into web searches in 2019. On the one hand, podcasts have been displayed directly in the search results since then, on the other hand, they could also be played directly from there. However, Google removed this integration a few weeks ago and this train is now also confirmed. As of February 13, this feature will be officially shelved. Instead, one would prefer to give the user recommendations in the future as to what kind of podcasts one could listen to. The recommendations are of course personalized and tailored to your interests, if you are logged in with your Google account. You can turn it all off if you want.
