Businessman Elon Musk said in the most recent interview with Fox News that the US government must be prepared to intervene if Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology gets out of control.
The leader of Tesla, SpaceX and Twitter indicated that it was “wise” for the US government to create “some kind of contingency plan” to interrupt AI functioning in case of need. “You don’t have to blow up (the AI), just cut the power”declared Musk.
“If there’s something we’re worried about and we’re unable to do it with software commands, then chances are we want some kind of off switch”noted the entrepreneur.
