• The state president reiterated his solidarity with the teachers’ sector during the swearing in of the new Director of the institution.

Culiacán, Sinaloa, May 16, 2023.- With full conviction of the relevance of the training of basic education teachers for our country in the current context of social transformation, this noon Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, attended the facilities of the Normal School of Sinaloa, a pioneer house in the initial preparation of the Sinaloan teaching profession, to protest Miguel Chávez Pérez, as the new Director of the institution, who replaces Luis Enrique Alcántar Valenzuela, a renowned academic who held the position since the past February 3, 2022.

Accompanied by Graciela Domínguez Nava, Secretary of Public Education and State Culture, Rodrigo López Zavala, Undersecretary of Higher and Higher Secondary Education, the state president summoned the new head, as well as the management team of the institution to be governed with unity and in strict respect to the rights that the laws grant to teachers, avoiding the formation of groups and actions that promote internal division.

“We need to have human quality, so I ask you to be a happy community, do not fight. Do not allow injustices, give everyone a chance. I will support you, I will be attentive to you, we will see what is that is required and needed, through Rodrigo López who is the Undersecretary, but above all through the Secretary, Graciela Domínguez and her Director, Miguel,” said the governor.

During her speech, the head of SEPyC recognized the excellent administrative management of the outgoing Director, also granting a vote of confidence for whoever assumes the reins of the normalista house from today.

“I greet and welcome the new Director, I know that a good job will be done because the perspective that the governor has set is that he wants teams to sign up for the transformation of education. That transformation is not only discourse, it has a depth ideological”, specified the Secretary of Education.

Chávez Pérez agreed with these approaches and recognized the importance of constant preparation in this sector, especially with the implementation of the new educational model from the federation.

“We are experiencing a process of educational transformation that could be the future of this country. The new Mexican school, based on a humanism, requires another type of redefinition of the teacher, of our new teachers,” concluded the newly appointed Director.

In this significant event, the presence of Aarón Quintero Pérez, Rector of the Pedagogical University of Sinaloa, Isabel Ibarra Valdivia, Coordinator of Advisors to the Governor, as well as Coordinators and Heads of the institution’s management team, stood out.
