Juarez City.- One of the places preferred by the people of Juarez to celebrate this Easter Sunday is the El Chamizal park, where the municipal authorities today expect an influx of between 200 and 250 thousand people.
As every year, a special surveillance operation will be carried out in city parks and other places that are usually frequented on this day, such as the Juárez Valley and the Samalayuca dunes.
In total, 250 Public Security elements will be deployed in El Chamizal, and in the rest of the city, 1,620 officers, including police and road safety agents, indicated municipal authorities.
In addition, elements of the Rescue, Firefighters and Civil Protection inspectors will be working, assured the director of Civil Protection, Roberto Briones Mota, who indicated that an influx of 100,000 people is expected in the Central Park.
He explained that in addition to these sites, there will be surveillance in Borunda Park, in the Anapra dam, Casa de Adobe, Samalayuca, Los Arenales and in pools in the Juárez Valley.
There will also be Road Safety agents in Parque Xtremo, El Chamizal, Las Lilas and El Borunda.
Likewise, a call is made to the public to report any risk situation to the emergency number 911, so that it can be dealt with by the authority in a timely manner.
In El Chamizal alone, 250 municipal police officers and 25 units will be deployed, while in the rest of the city there will be 1,500 and 50 units, announced the commander of the Municipal Public Security Secretariat, Víctor Saucedo.
In El Chamizal starting at 9 in the morning there will be different surprises for the families that attend, announced the director of Citizen Attention of the Municipality, María Antonieta Mendoza Mendoza.
He indicated that there will be recreational activities for infants, a children’s show, sports activities, races with sacks and face painting, among others.
In addition, the Clean Department will have two garbage collectors to empty the tanks and containers.
The Municipal Public Security Secretariat (SSPM) will have two mobile command centers, from where cameras will monitor activities in El Chamizal and the surrounding streets to avoid risk situations for border families.
In addition, patrols will be carried out in various city parks, such as Parque Central, Las Lilas and Parque Extremo, as well as Los Arenales, where it is expected that there will be a large concentration of people, reported the SSPM.
He indicated that the consumption of alcoholic beverages will not be allowed in the mentioned places.
