From the Fenaes they denounce that 24,000 student tickets were not issued so far this school year and that the companies do not want to print the cards for free, but instead propose a payment by the students when statutorily it should be free of charge.

They always look for a way to get some benefit“When the council meeting began, we had been presented with three feasible solutions precisely because they already refused to print the cards, and within each option there was an amount involved,” said Gian Ríos, executive coordinator of Fenaes in conversation with Unicanal.

A meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. with the representatives of the Student Ticket Issuing Council (CEBE) and, according to what results from it, the students will analyze if they carry out the mobilizations that can be given in this regard.

For his part, the Vice Minister of Transport, oscar stark, told radio Ñanduti that a new way to issue tickets to students should be evaluated. He assures that with the card, they should already have free passage.

“The company issued about 73 thousand and they have used about 11 thousand. Many of the cards are never used. They themselves said they could pay a certain percentage,” Stark said.
