While Rockstar still hasn’t revealed a release date for GTA 6, speculation is rife. By studying the files from the leak, a dataminer claims to have made a notable discovery: the arrival of a new love relationship system in the franchise. We explain to you.
According to the most insistent rumours, GTA 6 will be presented with great fanfare at the end of 2023. Despite Rockstar’s deafening silence about its future blockbuster, the gaming community has been able to explore the massive leak that occurred last year. And the most hackers have explored the images and files of the leak of GTA 6 to try to extract significant information about the future title.
With that in mind, a dataminer has just revealed on Reddit that he’s found scripts detailing a romance system between the two playable characters. We already knew that Jason and Lucia would form a kind of Bonnie and Clyde couple. According to the dataminer, however, players will have the choice to follow the path of love… or to refuse to indulge in such inclinations. This is quite simply a first in the history of the iconic franchise.
GTA 6: Will Jason and Lucia be in a romantic relationship?
“Event scripts in the leaks suggest you may have a platonic or romantic relationship with each other; Jason and Lucia probably don’t have to be together if you don’t want them to be”, details the dataminer. This system should have an impact on the dialogues, cutscenes and probably also on the course of certain missions.
As a reminder, Rockstar had already subjected the players to decisive choices for the plot, as in the outcome of GTA 5. However, it would be the first time that such a system would be put in place to guide our romantic choices in the manner of a The Witcher 3. Even though based on an authentic leak, these revelations should still be taken with a grain of salt pending official confirmation.
