British guitarist Jeff Beck has died as a result of meningitis. He lived to be 78 years old.
This is stated by his family on Twitter.
Beck died on Tuesday, and the inflammation came on suddenly, writes the AP news agency.
The family writes that they are asking for peace to process the “enormous loss”.
Long career
Beck is referred to as one of the best guitarists of all time, and accordingly The Guardian his fingers were insured for seven million British pounds.

He was one of the original members of the rock band Yardbird, which formed in the mid-1960s. He later had a rich solo career.

He collaborated with a number of big stars throughout his career. He played guitar for, among others, Rod Stewart, Luciano Pavarotti and Cyndi Lauper, according to AP.
Jeff Beck played several concerts in Norway in the summer of 2022. Then he stood on stage with actor Johnny Depp.
The guitarist won eight Grammy awards throughout his career, in addition to being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame both as a solo artist and as a member of the band Yardbirds.
Honored by the stars
After the death of the rock guitarist became known, several of the big stars who knew Beck have taken to social media to honor the musician.

Furthermore, Stewart thanks Beck for being one of the few guitarists that you could actually play with musically on stage. If Stewart had pulled a creative twist in front of the audience, Beck would have followed suit without hesitation.

Beck has had a long career as a musician, and has delivered hits upon hits over the years. In 2022 at the latest, he and Ozzy Osbourne released the album “Patient Number 9”.
