In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the fire brigade was busy with a full fire in a Harder garage. A local resident was injured while rescuing a dog from the building.

On Tuesday at 10:43 p.m. in Hard, Rheinstrasse, a fire broke out in a large garage in an apartment building for reasons that have not yet been clarified. Even before the arrival of the fire brigade, the residential building directly adjacent to the fire object was evacuated by the police. The Hard fire brigade, which arrived at the scene of the fire a few minutes after the alarm was raised, first carried out an extinguishing attack from the outside into the fully engulfed garage using heavy respiratory protection. In the meantime, access was gained through the garage door and the fire was completely extinguished. A local resident may have rescued a dog from the garage before officers and the fire brigade arrived. The man suffered burns and smoke inhalation – he had to be taken to the LKH Bregenz with the rescue. For the duration of the fire, the L202 in the area of ​​the fire object had to be closed to all traffic. Investigations into the cause of the fire are still ongoing. During the day, the fire object will be examined by fire investigators from the State Criminal Police Office.
