HBO Max shows Doom Patrol and Titans are coming, according to a report from Deadline, to be canceled after a total of four seasons. Sad news for DC fans, of course, but according to a representative for HBO Max, the shows will at least have a proper and dignified ending:
“While these will be the final seasons of Titans and Doom Patrol, we are very proud of these series and excited for fans to see their climactic endings. We are grateful to Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television for making such thrilling, action-packed , heartfelt series.”
It’s apparently not entirely due to James Gunn and Peter Safran’s desire to reboot the DC universe on both the TV and film fronts, but it is of course also a factor now that the cinematic DC universe is getting a renovation.
