A 22-year-old young man was arrested after trying to sell a motorcycle that he stole at gunpoint on a purchase-sale page on social networks.

As reported by the victim, he was riding aboard his 110 cc motorcycle along Tambor de Tacuarí street, upon reaching the intersection with Bernabé Méndez street, he was intercepted by two individuals aboard another motorcycle, one of them pointed a gun at him. firearm and took the vehicle, and then fled.

Once the fact was known, the Police began an exhaustive investigation, and with the complainant’s data, they were able to locate the suspect who offered the stolen motorcycle on a Facebook page. For this reason, a transaction was simulated with the young man identified as 22-year-old Catriel R., agreeing to meet in the San Juan neighborhood, where he was arrested. In addition, the stolen motorcycle that was in his possession was seized.

By order of the Third Investigating Court of Iguazú, the detainee was housed in the “Detainee Shelter” Section, while the motorcycle, once the rigorous procedures have been completed, will be returned to the victim.

The investigation continues in order to fully clarify the case.
