The DKV Deutsche Krankenversicherung AG (DKV) of the Ergo Group is expanding its “Meine DKV” app to include the electronic patient file (ePA). IBM will be involved in the development. A corresponding cooperation agreement has just been signed. Patients should be able to access their health data at any time via those files.

In the future, the electronic patient file will enable DKV policyholders not only to manage their health data, medical reports or medication plans themselves, but also to exchange them digitally with doctors and pharmacists.

When exactly will the ePA be included in the “My DKV” app? Unfortunately, the insurance company does not provide any more precise information on this. It is said quite vaguely that it is assumed that the electronic patient file will be integrated into the app within the next 12 months.
