Helena (Koh-Lanta, the Sacred Fire): “Nicolas and Julie are not fairplay”

While the sport Helena27, had drawn the wrath of her teammates because of her assertive character from the first episode of Koh-Lanta, the Sacred Fire, she will have managed to stay in the game until the second Reunification Council, broadcast this Tuesday, April 25 on TF1… An elimination that occurred far too soon for this competitor who already saw herself in the final, ignoring the strategies that will have got the better of her. She answered our questions and tries to explain why her torch was extinguished by Denis Brogniart.

Helena (Koh-Lanta) : “It was Alexandre who got on the girls’ heads”

Tele-Leisure : You had already applied to Koh-Lanta 5 years ago. What made the difference for you to be taken this time?

Helena : Since then, I have set up my business with my brother. I always had in mind to participate… It was the right moment. I put everything possible into my application. Maybe with more maturity because I was 22 the first time around. And it paid off! The life experience must also have interested the casters more.

You annoy your teammates at the start of the adventure. You even almost walked out on the second tip instead ofEmin… Were you aware of that?

I was made aware by the boys that all the girls were against me. It was Alexandre who gave the girls heads. He made the sauce rise. I am very happy because I finally had the whole truth: he exaggerated the bad trait of my character to the girls so that they would resent me and they saw me. The girls already didn’t like me because of my little reflection: “Everyone saw that I had won…” They had hidden it from me… When Martin and Rudy warned me that the girls were against me, I didn’t quite understand. I said to myself : “More jealousy between girls“. I immediately had conversations with each of them. They all said to me: “It’s true that at the beginning you went strong in your words but now it’s much better”. Once I knew what I was being blamed for, I was able to improve. It’s more complicated when everything is done behind the scenes.

So you were able to fit into the team?

Everyone was against me at the start and after I knew how to show my true personality : you can’t pin it down to three sentences. I think everyone noticed that I wasn’t like that at all. I was quite sociable!

Unlike the sports competitions you’re used to, strategy remains an integral part of the game show…

Yes it is clear that the strategy is a big part. I immediately understood that I was much stronger in sport than in strategy. When I exited the game, Denis m’a dit : “But Helena, sport level you were in the TGV but strategy level you were always on the train platform” ; It really struck me because I thought there was too big a difference between the two. At reunification, I got along really well with Laura and Clemency. Both reassured me:We’ll make you feel good, with us. We are going to introduce you to Gilles, Nicolas etc.” I felt put in confidence, I exchanged with everyone. But I think it suited everyone to fire someone strong! I had an echo, when I passed the second static test, that they said to themselves: “Oula, she, on the posts she will hurt“. So they had voted either against me or against Clemence. Even if I got on well with everyone, having an extra place on the podium… It’s great.

You left very disappointed with the advice. Who do you want the most?

I didn’t feel in the hot seat at all at the start and when I saw that it was scheming right and left and that Clémence won the totem, I told myself that it would be me. I was sure Laura and Gilles wouldn’t vote against me. I didn’t know what it was about Nicolas… Gilles and Laura’s excuse not to alienate the Yellows was a calculation for later and not a vote of their own free will. I was a little disappointed with them. But I especially blame Nicolas and Julie who carried out this strategy despite being two great athletes… I don’t think it’s fair play to eliminate a major competitor! Moreover, they say that they want to make a “big blow” and eliminate someone strong… I would not have believed that it was these two people who could have thought like that. I knew that I could count on QuentinFrederic and Clemence who were going to vote against Tania. Gilles told me that he wouldn’t vote against me and Laura that she would vote Tania with us. I thought it was Tania who would come out! When I learned that Laura and Gilles had rallied to the Yellows so as not to go it alone and not be threatened at the next board meeting, I said to myself that clearly people no longer voted voluntarily but just because they were afraid for the future.

What tests do you regret not having done?

The trials of tasting ! I know it happens towards the end and I told myself that since I was in survival mode, I would have swallowed everything… I was ready for anything! And poles… I would never have fallen! I’m so straight and static. It’s horrible not to have had the opportunity to do so, but it wasn’t me who left because I lost in a race, but because everyone decided so.

You were afraid of getting cavities. Did you do a health check on your return?

I went to the doctor and the dentist: everything is fine, my body is recovering well and I’m very happy with it. I was able to resume my sports activities thoroughly! I was very careful because I know you can gain 3 or 4 kilos more. The doctor warned me and I said no! And in the end I didn’t gain a kilo more than my base weight.

You have already participated in Ninja Warrior in 2021. Could you do it again?

If redo Ninja Warrior forbids me to repeat Koh-Lanta I wouldn’t do it again. But if it’s like Claude who made Ninja Warrior before leaving for Koh-Lantathere is no problem. I would always be up for a sporting challenge! And seeing Denis again is always nice!

Did the broadcast of the program have any repercussions on your work?

In my area, I am already known at the base. My center is well attended, well filled. But when we see “Helen of Koh-Lanta“, there are always curious little ones who come because they are fans of the show so I think that gave a little boost. Visibility always helps for business!
