Gaming mobiles as a segment may not have completely convinced us lately. Much of the game functionality also reaches the “mainstream mobiles”. But there are exceptions, and one actor who has taken up the flag and gone into the breach is Asus, which has now presented the ROG Phone 7 series.
Just like the company’s previous editions of the ROG Phone, these are mobiles for you who put gaming first. Tailor-made, turned-up processors, ambitious cooling and high-performance components in both image and sound are the melody here.
Above all, in terms of sound, the ROG Phone 7 is said to convince – at least according to our colleagues over there PCWorld. In a review, the forward-facing speaker rig is described as absolutely phenomenal and something that will make your ears vibrate. The range’s most sophisticated model – ROG Phone 7 Ultimate – is equipped with 16 gigabytes of LPDDR5X memory, 512 gigabytes of fast UFS 4.0 storage and comes with a special cooling solution, the Aero Active Cooler 7, as it’s called, also has a built-in subwoofer for the fattest possible sound.
The ROG Phone 7 mobiles are adorned with amoled panels from Samsung with 165 Hz response time and 720 Hz touch sampling, which is more than enough even for the fastest gaming experiences. The Ultimate model has a cheeky screen on the back that can display various animations, images and effects when things happen on the “front”.
