"He's going to kill us," woman in Miami pleads not to set bail for Cuban who burned down the house where she lived

A woman pleaded in court not to impose bail on her ex-partner, who faces seven charges after early last Sunday he set fire to a house where the victim and her daughter were living temporarily after separating three months ago.

“He is going to pay bail, and he is going to go out and kill us. Please help. “My daughter and I are in danger.”Ana Castellano Rodríguez pleaded in court before Judge Mindy S. Glazer, as reported. Telemundo 51.

“My husband tried to murder me. My daughter and I were inside but we could have been,” the woman added, referring to the fire that ended with a house in a complex in Hialeah Gardens, a home that belonged to a friend of hers.

“He is an aggressive person. I left his house because he threatened me. He told me that if I wasn’t with him I couldn’t be with anyone else. That our lives were going to end if I let him. I left her house three months ago and went to live at a friend’s house. “He burned my friend’s house,” the woman insisted.

Ana Castellano explained that the accused – who faces charges such as attempted murder, starting a fire and trespassing – even stole her dog from the home.

“I’m very afraid. He’s going to do something because he knows he’s already lost everything.”concluded Ana Castellano desperately.

The judge finally imposed a restraining order on the 32-year-old Cuban, identified as Roisel Valdés-Cuello, and $111,000 bail.

If Valdés-Cuello paid a percentage of the bail and managed to bail out of prison TGKwill be under total house arrest and must wear an electronic shackle.

A surveillance camera captured the moment when the man entered the apartment early Sunday morning through a sliding glass door, and later when he ran through the parking lot with the dog under his arm.

Police responded to the building at 9862 Northwest 82nd Avenue at approximately 1 a.m. Sunday. The fire also caused damage to a neighboring apartment. According to the American Red Cross, a total of seven people were affected, including two children.
