Hikers found human remains in a wilderness area in Mount Baldy on Saturday.
Hikers found the remains around 10 am and called deputies at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Fontana station, the county medical examiner said in a news release.
The body was transported to the medical examiner’s office, and is expected to be identified the following week.
Authorities did not provide further information.
